Hi, I’m Wendy — the heart and hands behind Bakes by Wen.

My journey into baking didn’t begin in a kitchen; it began in a corporate office. After leaving my role at IBM in Human Resources, I traded spreadsheets for spatulas and followed my passion for food, art, and connection. What started in a tiny apartment kitchen in Mexico has grown into a custom bakery in the heart of Colorado, where every cake tells a story, and every treat is baked with purpose.

Bakes by Wen was born out of love, love for flavor, for creativity, and most of all, for people. I believe desserts have the power to bring people together, and that’s exactly what I aim to do with every custom cake, treat box, and handcrafted sweet that leaves my kitchen.
