About Wen
Hi, I’m Wendy — the heart and hands behind Bakes by Wen.
My journey into baking didn’t begin in a kitchen; it began in a corporate office. After leaving my role at IBM in Human Resources, I traded spreadsheets for spatulas and followed my passion for food, art, and connection. What started in a tiny apartment kitchen in Mexico has grown into a custom bakery in the heart of Colorado, where every cake tells a story, and every treat is baked with purpose.
Bakes by Wen was born out of love, love for flavor, for creativity, and most of all, for people. I believe desserts have the power to bring people together, and that’s exactly what I aim to do with every custom cake, treat box, and handcrafted sweet that leaves my kitchen.
My goal is to make every client feel celebrated, seen, and loved. I don’t just bake cakes, I bake memories, flavored packed art pieces, and tiny acts of joy. Your trust means everything to me, and I pour my heart into every project, no matter how big or small.

Fill out our wedding inquiry form and share all the dreamy details — your inspiration, colors, mood boards, favorite flavors, and budget. The more we know about your story, the more magic we can create together.

You’ll receive a custom sketch of your wedding cake design, and we’ll refine every detail to perfection.
Want to taste the magic first? A flavor box can be ordered (subject to availability) for an additional fee.
05 — Staying Connected
One month before your wedding, we’ll reconnect to confirm every detail — design, timing, and delivery logistics — ensuring everything flows seamlessly. The final balance will also be due at this time.
06 — Your Wedding Day
Your cake is delivered, styled, and set up with love and care. All that’s left is for you to see your masterpiece — a reflection of your story, your style, and your forever.
CAKE CARE
Pick-up: Make sure you have enough room in your car for the cake size you are purchasing. The cake should be leveled at all times, so make sure to prepare a flat surface in your car for transportation. All cakes come with a box to help keep it secure during transportation.
NOTE
Once we hand the cake to you, the customer, we do not hold ourselves responsible for any miss-handle or accidents that might happen to the cake during the transportation.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Once you’ve decided to go ahead with your order, to secure your date & order we require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
We will hold this date for you for 24hrs to give you time pay this deposit. Once you have paid the deposit you are all booked in and will need to pay the remaining 50% balance of your order 3 days before your pick up date.
2. Immediate payment are a non-refundable, and non-transferable.
3. IF YOU CANCEL OR CHANGE YOUR BOOKING, If there are any changes to the original booking, the person responsible for booking must inform us either by phone call, DM or email as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate changes to dates. However, this is subject to availability only.
In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your order YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED your deposit.
4. Once you make a deposit for your order you will be agreeing to these terms and conditions.
